Currency and Banks in Cyprus
As of January 1st 2008, the main currency of the Republic of Cyprus is the Euro. (formally the Cyprus Pound).
Banks
There is a bank in the village of Pervolia, one in Kiti, and a number of main branch banks in Larnaca.
Credit and Debit Cards
You can use Mastercard, Visa and Cirrus cards throughout Cyprus and also withdraw money from cash points with your UK bank cards, although charges will apply.
