agios lazaros church in LarnacaThe present day Church of Saint Lazarus is the result of a many renovations over the centuries, having been erected in the ninth century to house the remains of Lazarus, who was raised from the dead by Jesus, after they were discovered in Cyprus.

The bishop’s wood-carved throne and reliquary, containing the skull and holy relics of Saint Lazarus, demonstrate splendid workmanship in this beautiful church in Larnaca.

There is also a small Museum in the Church Grounds showing a collection of icons and religious items.
